Game Server
The Game Server card on a group page displays the group’s Minecraft server: the address, edition, live status, player count, version, and MOTD. It’s visible to members and players with a pending invitation, but hidden from everyone else.
Adding or editing the server
Section titled “Adding or editing the server”Only the group owner or an admin can set the server address:
- Open the group page and find the Game Server card.
- Click Edit.
- Enter the server IP address and port (default 25565).
- Save. The platform immediately pings the server to fetch its live status.
The address is validated to block private/internal addresses. A public server address is required.
Live status
Section titled “Live status”After the address is set, the card shows:
- Online / Offline status
- Players online
- Server version (for example
1.21.1) - MOTD: the message shown in the Minecraft server list
Status is refreshed automatically when you load the group page. A copy button next to the address makes it easy to paste into Minecraft’s multiplayer screen.
Removing the server
Section titled “Removing the server”Editing the card and clearing the address removes the server from the group. The group simply has no server shown until a new one is added.
No server yet?
Section titled “No server yet?”A group doesn’t need a server to exist on GatherToCraft. You can recruit, chat, and schedule sessions without one. Add the address when your world is ready.
