Preferences and Modpacks

Two settings shape how GatherToCraft matches you: category preferences and your modpack lists. Both are shown on your profile, so group owners can see what you’re into before you even apply.

Category preferences

Categories are the platform’s way of describing play styles, schedules, and interests (things like Casual, Building, Late night). Each category has several values you can choose from.

Set yours in Settings → Preferences:

• Pick up to 5 values per category.
• Values you select appear on your profile under the Preferences tab.

Your preferences power two things:

1. Use my preferences: the one-click shortcut on the Listings browse page that filters listings to match what you saved.
2. Your profile: group owners reviewing your application see exactly what you like to play.

Tip

Be honest and specific. If you only play on weekends, say so. You’ll find groups that fit instead of groups that fall apart when you can’t show up.

Modpack lists

Under Settings → Modpacks you keep two lists:

• Played: modpacks you’ve played before.
• Interested In: modpacks you’d like to play next.

Add modpacks with the search box. It looks up both known modpacks and external providers (CurseForge, Modrinth, Technic). You can remove any modpack from either list at any time.

Both lists appear on your profile in the Modpacks tab, in two columns.

Note

Category values marked “disabled when modpack is selected” aren’t available on listings that use a modpack, but they still work as personal preferences on your profile.
