Applying to Listings

Found a listing you like? Hit Apply to Join on the listing page and tell the group why you want to play with them.

  1. Open a listing that’s Open and not Full. 2. Click Apply to Join. 3. Write your application message: “Why do you want to join?” This is required, and it’s the first thing the listing author and group admins read. A couple of sentences about what you play and why this group fits is plenty. 4. Submit. Your application shows up in Dashboard → Applications → My Applications.

The group owner or admin reviews applications in their group’s Applications panel:

  • Accepted: you become a member of the group automatically.
  • Denied: you’ll see the denial on your applications page. If the reviewer left a comment explaining why, you can view it.

You’ll get a notification either way.

Open Dashboard → Applications to see every application you’ve sent:

  • Status: Pending, Accepted, or Declined (filterable).
  • View Message / Edit Message: change what you wrote to the group while it’s still pending.
  • Withdraw: pull your application if you changed your mind. Withdrawn applications don’t count toward your limit.
  • Go To Group: for accepted applications, jumps you straight into the group.
  • View Feedback: for denied applications with a comment from the reviewer.

You can have a limited number of applications pending (awaiting a decision) at once:

  • Unverified accounts: 5 pending applications
  • Verified accounts: 20 pending applications

Withdrawn, accepted, and declined applications don’t count toward the limit. If you’re at the cap, the Apply button explains why, and points you to Minecraft verification to raise it.

  • “You have already applied to this listing”: you can’t apply twice. You can still edit or withdraw your existing application from My Applications.
  • “You are already a member of this group”: listings recruit for a group you’re already in; there’s nothing to apply for.
  • “This listing is closed” or “No slots left”: the listing isn’t accepting applications right now. Try again later, or check back when it reopens.
